We headed off to Black Butte in early July. I looked charming in my little hat. Mom and Grandma Kay played basketball and swam in the pool, while I looked on.
Something about my not being big enough, even for these fun fountains.
Well, we did splash about in them a bit, but I didn't get too wet. It was hot for the the first several days, over 90, and that meant I got a bit warm in the cabin with no air conditioning. But I persevered bravely. I learned how to sleep in my pack-n-play crib. There were lots of pretty sites there, including this field of lupines outside Lupine Lake.
We took a brief trip to the headwaters of the Metolius and walked along the river.
It was beautiful. Dad took a picture of this warrior butterfly fresh from the Rising Bird Conflict and we saw this covey of birds, ducks actually, who scurried along the river.
Awesome!
